Calvin Tay – Managing Director
A veteran in the hospitality sector, Calvin graduated from Suisse Hotel Management School Ecole Les Roches and spent the last 20 years in the hospitality sector, F&B, operations, product development, MICE and Sales & Marketing positions. Calvin started his first job at Carlton Singapore and progressed to lead Sales & Marketing at Holiday Villa Subang Jaya. He has also covered stints on a managerial basis at Renaissance KL, Regent Singapore & InterContinental Singapore . More notably will be his experienced garnered within China - MICE director in Ritz Carlton Beijing & JW Marriott Beijing, DOSM (5 star hotels) Beijing Holiday Inn & Crowne Plaza Century Park Shanghai. He was subsequently roped in by CTC Travel SG managing MICE outbound and inbound. This saw him taking the helm as Managing Director for CTC Travel Shanghai office – managing CTC Travel’s boutique hotels, Theme Restaurant & office in Shanghai. Calvin has strong ties with Singapore, Shanghai, Beijing, Taiwan and Malaysia and is experienced dealing directly with key regional players in the hospitality & tourism. He is internationally recognized as an innovative and creative sales and marketing professional who delivers timely and superior results.
Adrian Siow - VP
Adrian Siow has over ten years of experience in electronic industries (sales, technical & project base), wedding photographer, activities and event organizer. A graduate of University Tenaga Nasional he resigned as a lead engineer and took up wedding & photo shooting helping organization to organize activity & events. With all the experience gains and contacts, he moved on to hospitality industries in Sales & Marketing department representing hotels groups, meeting key agents for business development and contract negotiation, running roadshow to promote hotels, meetings potential partners and provide hotel related product training for key partners to better promote/sell hotels to end-customer. With the contacts and ties with Malaysia, Singapore, Bali & Thailand tourism industries & market, Adrian have experience in coordinating events and filming of Tv show and documentary in the food, tourism destination & hospitality segment. Adrian enjoys traveling from urban cities to the most rural & adventurous country site and experiencing new things in different perspective, this allows him to translate his experience into service different segments of clients. With all the experience gain plus his passion in photography & events planning, this turns out to be a driving mechanism for him to further understand the market and thus gaining outstanding results.
May Wong - Business Development
May graduated from Institute Jati, majored in Accounting and Costing. With almost 18 years of sales experience, where 14 years are purely from the hotel industry. In all these years, May has gain rich experience in sales, market development and worked as a department head leading a group of 6 staff. May started as Assistant Sales Manager in Concorde KLIA Inn in year 2001, in 10 years time she manage to climb up the corporate ladder as Sales & Marketing Manager and Department Head, she later was promoted to Executive Committee Member (EXCO), taking charge of other department’s operation, revenue management, yielding and also yearly hotel budget proposal. Within this 14 years of experience she encounter numerous difficult disastourous time like SARS outbreak (2003), H1N1 outbreak (2009) and the triple aviation disaster (2014), together with her sales team, May manage to maintain the breakeven-point for the organization without suffering any forms of lost for the hotel during these difficult times. Aside from that May also managed to expand new markets for hotel aside from typical core business from airlines (airline hotel) where she successfully open the wedding business for the hotel. Due to location of the hotel which is near to Malaysia Sepang International Circuit, May also has rich experience in large international events, handling clients for Formula 1, MotoGP and other racing events. Her experience in strategizing and detailed in planing allows her to achieve high yield and high revenue sales for the organization.
Jessie Liu - Business Development
Jessie Liu a 2012 graduate from the South China Agricultural University in economic management department specialize in professional marketing. Upon graduate, Jessie was attached with a travel agency in Guangzhou who specialize in air ticketing and tours for overseas, her role and responsibility includes creating packages for Free & Easy group & MICE targeted at South East Asia Region. With her active participation in all the roadshow & familiarization trip with respected tourism board, hotels, travel agent & DMC`s, she gain in depth knowledge of SEA and manage to build a strong & lasting relationships with them. With her hardworking attitude together with the knowledge she gain, Jessie manage to climb from Assistant Manager to Product Manager in a short 3 years time. Through these years, her enthusiasm, working caliber & results achieved enable her to gain customer recognition and trust from colleagues. Not only did she focus on her work, but she also helps her colleague in sales to meet clients, build rapport & even solve issues with sales department, this further strengthens the bonds between them. As an ambitious travel enthusiast, Jessie have been to enormous place around the world which includes Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Bali, Philippines, Taiwan and New Zealand. Her travel became an opportunity for Jessie to see the world in a different perspective, where the culture & essence of each destination becomes a small part of her vast knowledge accumulated from all the past experiences. Leo Zuo - e-Com Planner
Leo Zuo a graduate from University of Portsmouth UK in Digital Marketing, major in local brand marketing research. Upon graduate, Leo started as account executive in KANGSHIFU (The largest instant noodle producer in China) for two years, during his time he picked up and gain abundant experienced in Social Media marketing and Brand communication. As the person in charge of e-commerce marketing in the “Beverage” department of Kangshifu, one of his project was to create and sustain the official account of Wechat, through passion in his hard work, he manage not only to sustain but to gain more than 20,000 fans in a short period of time. Through numerous projects and the achievement gained, Leo was promoted from Account Executive to Project Planner in a short 2 years time. Leo will practice his experience in developing Social Media account in GCN and utilize all his knowledge to market all the properties to China market, maximizing the coverage & exposure to the right target audience. Advancements of technology these days, enable e-commerce marketing at presents and coming future with full of challenges and infinite possibilities, with Leo`s passion and hard working attitude, it will allow him to challenge the future with confidence.
